Open Application for Final Conference in Sofia
CEGA Foundation has the pleasure to invite you to take part in the Final Conference of Crossing city borders: promoting spatial desegregation of Roma project, which will take place on 19th July, 2017 in Sofia, Bulgaria. The project is financed by the European Commission and it’s an 18 months effort tackling the issue of spatial desegregation of Roma in Bulgaria through implying best practices from Spain.
The Final Conference of the project will bring together representatives of national, regional and local institutions as well as NGO’s activists from EU countries working to support the integration of Roma, especially through promoting housing policies for spatial desegregation.
The main theme of the conference will be the importance and the impact of spatial desegregation of Roma as integral part of the policies for improvement of their living conditions and social inclusion in general. Practices from both Spain and Bulgaria will be showcased and political commitment will be encouraged to include spatial desegregation of Roma in the next strategic and policy documents on national level.
“Crossing city borders: promoting spatial desegregation of Roma” project aims to support the integration of Roma by promoting housing policies which provide for spatial desegregation of Roma in Bulgaria and other European countries. It is led by C.E.G.A. Foundation (Bulgaria) in partnership with Union Romani (Spain) with the financial support of the Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme of the European Union.
